The ride is easy and car-free and offers a peaceful ride with beautiful views of the city, the parks, and Mission Bay. The Creek Trail ends after a short but scenic 1.1 miles, but you can continue north and pick up the Rose Canyon Trail to extend your trip. This paved trail network winds its way up a canyon for an additional 6 or 7 miles past creeks and pockets of trees and is perfect for beginners and intermediate cyclists. Street tires are usually good enough, unless it has been exceptionally wet.
